Brazilian fitness influencer Anna Clara Rios was left ‘shaking’ after discovering a man had taken photos of her while she was asleep on a flight to Belo Horizonte.
On December 21, 2022, Brazilian fitness influencer Anna Clara Rios was left “shaking with rage” after discovering a man had taken photos of her while she was asleep on a flight to Belo Horizonte. Rios, who has 644,000 followers on Instagram, confronted the man and demanded he delete the pictures before being relocated on the plane away from him.
Passengers applauded when he was removed. The man was taken to a police station but was not arrested. This is not the first time a peeping tom has been reprimanded on a commercial flight, as in 2017 two pilots allegedly hid a camera in a plane’s bathroom and live-streamed the video captured from the lavatory to an iPad in the cockpit.
The flight attendant believed the man was zooming in to see what was under her clothes. Rios took a screenshot of the message he sent to his friend and forwarded it to the authorities. Once the plane landed, Federal Police officers escorted the man off the flight and took him to a nearby police station, although he was not placed under arrest. This isn’t the first time a peeping tom has been reprimanded on a commercial flight; in 2017, two pilots allegedly hid a camera in a plane’s bathroom and live-streamed the video captured from the lavatory to an iPad placed on the cockpit’s windshield.
